hmm i'm not too sure of the story behind h.o.t. disbandment...i became a fans of their after they disbanded T^T
anywhoo...there were rumor that the reason behind H.O.T. disbandment was b/c of their contracts. it was rumor that each member had a different termination dates depending on when they joined the company. (the rumor said that SM wouldnt renew the other 3s contract therefore they left SM and joined a new company) but like i say...it was a runmored. who knows what really happened. (only H.I.T. who had to endure their disbandment knows) i see that your reason is from wiki...not a really creditable source, ne? lol

anywho...i read a lot of stuff about H.O.T. before their disbandment. i dont know if its b/c during H.O.T. days SM wasnt rich enough to provide for them or what not (since i was interested in Kpop in the 90s)...but it was said that sm barely feed them. there were stories of the guys putting money together to buy noodles/food during promotions and that fans felt sorry for them and would make & food for them.

all-in-all stories about sm and their artists has never been pleasent ><

I think that 3 members complained about suffering and being mistreated, while the other 2 renewed their contract with SM Ent. without even telling the other 3.

I'm sad for the fact that DBSK might be going through the same thing.

i dont think tvxq case is all that similar to h.o.t.
whether sm extended kangta and heejun's contracts or not...i don't believe their termination dates were the same...H.O.T. gets alone well so i don't see why the other two would ditch tonhyukjae for sm (then again...why did yunmin "favor" sm over jaechunsu? *sigh*)

with h.o.t. the two members that stay behind were the so called "popular ones" in the group...in tvxq (sorry yunmin) are not the "popular ones"...therefore a smart person would say sm gotten the short end of the stick this time...since we don't really know what happened during h.o.t. days & the real cause of their disbandment...perhaps whatever sm did to h.o.t. back in 2000 was really unfair, therefore...karma bites.

I think it's kinda similar, but not the same.

plus, I agree that Yun & Min aren't the popular ones and I don't think that they will renew their contracts or something.
I think both of them didn't take part in the lawsuit, because they want problems.
but who knows??
